The trophy is awarded to the school who successfully raise the most trout from eggs to a stage where they can be released into the River Chess.. The "Trout in the Classroom" project takes place in 5 schools in the Chess Valley. Hawridge and Cholesbury, Elmtree, Chenies, Rickmansworth Park and Clement Danes all take part in the project and all schools released fish into the Chess at locations at Chesham, Latimer, Chenies, and Rickmansworth. We were the the most successful school releasing 28 fish from the 90 original eggs. We would like to thank the Chiletern Chalk Stream Project and the volunteers of the River Chess Association. We would also like to thank land owners and the Environment Agency who gave permission for the release. We look forward to Christmas when the process starts over again.
