Outstanding Results

We would like to share with you our outstanding results achieved by our Year 6 cohort this year.  As you may know they sat their end of Key Stage 2 tests (SATs) in May to assess their attainment and progress they have made since their assessments in Key Stage 1.

The national expectation for attainment for children leaving primary school is they achieve Level 4 in English and Maths, and they make at least +12 average point score (APS) progress. It’s worth remembering that each child in Year 6 is equal to the value of 7.7%.  ‘Typical’ Primary schools range from 1.5%-3% for each child. 

Data can be difficult for parents to make sense of, but hopefully with the above information and the data being presented in this way, parents can identify with how well we have done:

Reading:

Chenies Level 4s 100% - National Level 4s 85%

Chenies Level 5s 84.6% - National Level 5s 44%

Chenies children have made +14.2 APS progress

English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS)

Chenies Level 4s 92.3% - National Level 4s 74%

Chenies Level 5s 76.9% - National Level 5s 48%

Chenies Level 6s 7.7% - National Level 5s 2% - this is the first time a Child at Chenies has achieved a level 6.

The children were not assessed in this area at KS1 so there is no progress data.

Writing

Chenies Level 4s 84.6%

Chenies Level 5s 30.8%

Due to this being teacher assessed there is currently no national data to compare to.

Chenies Level 5s 46.2% - National Level 5s 42%
