OXFORD DIOCESAN BUCKS SCHOOLS TRUST CONSULTATION

Announcement of consultation, and background to Chenies School’s proposal to convert to an academy and join the Oxford Diocesan Bucks Schools Trust

The Governing Body of Chenies School is proposing to change the status of the school from a Local Authority Maintained School to an Academy, and for the school to join the Oxford Diocesan Bucks Schools Trust (ODBST), which is a Multi Academy Trust. Governors of the school believe that this will assist in achieving three strategic priorities: i) ensuring that Chenies School continues to thrive and have a future into the medium- to long-term; ii) supporting the school’s vision and values, whilst welcoming children of all faiths and none; and iii) ensuring that Chenies School provides the best possible start in educational for our children.

Governors will be hosting an information evening on Thursday 24th November from 6pm-7pm and will be initiating a five-week consultation period from this date onwards. The consultation will end on Thursday 22nd December. We welcome comments and questions from parents/carers of the school’s children and members of the wider community and its surrounds. The response form is attached on the link below and can be sent directly to the school. Further background on our plans to convert to an academy, and contact details to comment or ask a question, are provided below.
