Remembrance

11th November 2016

Our Remembrance Service was held in the school hall today with many parents, carers and Chenies residents in attendance. The children shared their learning experiences from this week.  We were shown beautiful artwork, poems were recited and their thoughts were shared.  Griffin class class presented a series of freeze frames which represented moments and emotions from WW1; the children read their letters to home from soldiers at war, demonstrating their ability to empathise with the situation.
Mrs Burnett was very proud with how the children conducted themselves during the 2 minutes silence and how beautifully they sang hymns.  We would like to thank Rev. Allsop for leading the service with Mrs Burnett.
