It was an exciting week for the children. Each class covered various aspects of Hinduism including Diwali (The Festival of Lights). They talked about similarities and differences, compared different religions and looked into how Diwali is celebrated across the world from a child's point of view.
Satish Shah took KS2 into the world of Bollywood for an afternoon. While KS1 and Reception enjoyed learning a traditional Hindu dance Garba. The children also had an opportunity to taste a variety of food from across India which went down really well as there wasn't much left at the end of the day. Thank you to Mr Sahotay for organising that for us.
The children are looking forward to visiting the Hindu temple in Watford on Thursday 1st December.
