Paralympics Experience

21st June 2016

On Tuesday 21st June, we had a Paralympics activity morning.  Each class got to take part in a paralympic sporting event.  This was something new for all of the children and has added to their excitement of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio this summer.
Phoenix: Boccia
In PE we played Boccia.  Boccia is an paralympic game.
We were split into our house teams. The aim of the first game was to throw been bags at an orange cone.
The next game of Boccia was that you had to throw a been bag in 4 white cones shaped as a square.  Your team had to throw 2 bean bags into the square to get a poinr.
The final score was
Green 4
Red 3
Blue 3
Yellow 0
It was a great experience and the whole class enjoyed it!
